How AS2 sender adapter sends a MDN back to the partner after receiving the EDI message from them

Hi all,

I need to know how the should we configure the AS2 sender adapter to send an MDN back to the partner from where the EDI message is received

DO we nneed to create multiple channels

to get the message from partner

to send MDN to them

to getACknowledgement back from them

or

we can do the above steps in a single channel

Kindly explain......
