Handling exceptions caused due to server errors in PI

Hi Folks,

Is there any way to handle server errors generated due to invalid data like the special characters or invalid URLs generated dynamically. Though we can handle the special characters by escaping the special characters, I am still interested in seeing if there is any standard/custom way to capture the server errors which when occured are more descriptive in NWA logs compared to the default responses PI generates (like the "Server error" or 500 Internal server error etc) and sends back to the client in case of synchronous scenarios.
