Our current PI version is SAP NetWeaver 7.1 EHP1, we are planning to install the non-central Advanced Adapter Engine Extended (AEX) in the DMZ and connect with the Central PI system (PI 7.1 EHP1) to transfer the messages from external to PI system with the help of PI-AEX as a Gateway solution using as a pass through communication
Scenario is from external -> PI - > ECC, so we are planning DAE(De-Central Adapter) as AEX for soap sender in DMZ from three to internal PI IE, from IE messages has to send to ECC, and it is synchronous flow. As this is external communication we can not give access our current PI so we need to have DAE
We can install AEX as DAE but I am looking does the DAE AEX can use correct PI ID and IR or not and is the AEX can support for PI 7.1

1) Is it possible to connect with de-central AEX 7.3 to SAP PI 7.1 EHP1
2) Is there any data sync/communication problems if any in this scenario?
3) Which ESR is possible whether it’s Central/Local ESR, I see that Central ESR is not possible as it’s only possible if the central PI system is in 7.3 onward
4) If we use the Local ESR do we see any issues in the communication between AEX and PI or do we need to setup the communication between Local ESR to Central ESR
5) How to communicate the nc-AEX ESR information to the main PI system
6) Which SLD should use either Local or central SLD which is point to the main PI instance
7) If we configure the local SLD, do we need to setup the SLD Bridge between the nc-AEX local SLD and central SLD
9) nc-AEX local SLD obviously in higher version then the central SLD, then do we see any SLD sync problems or both SLD should be in the same version
10) Is the non-central Advanced Adapter Engine Extended will be visible in the Central PI system Component Area of Non-Central Adapter Engines area
11) We want to use the nc-AEX as a just pass through communication to the central PI system, in this scenario do we required any objects development in the AEX, as in that case both ESR are in different versions will the object sync happens
12) We have done some developments reference to the new interface setup, so if we use the AEX as in DMZ to pass though the external data to main PI, do we need to re-develop any objects based on the nc-AEX
