SRM to PI to MDM adapter

HI,

we are wokring on SRM_MDM_Catalog_701.

Query

Communication from PI to MDM will be using which adapter is the stranded .?

we asked the basis team to deploy the MDM adapter but i am not able to find the MDM adapter in the drop down list in configuring communication channels .what could be the reason or what will be name of MDM adapter generally .

any helpfull document to support ..
