NullPointerException in Mail Receiver Adapter

Hi All,

I have a SOAP to Mail scenario.I am getting a NullPointerException in my receiver channel.

My channel configuration is as follows

Transport protocol:SMTP

Message protocol:XIPAYLOAD

URL: smtp://servername

Checked Configure user authentication

Authentication method :Plain

user:domain\userid

password:pwd

checked use mail package

Content encoding:None

Error log:

I have not used getAttribute method anywhere in my interface.

I have already checked most of the posts relating to receiver mail adapter.

Have tried using smtp /smtps..same url works fine in sandbox but not from development.

also tried with/without mail package...with/without user authentication..The error remains the same.

JavaMail service properties in both sandbox and development are same but scenario working only in sandbox not in development.

Have also checked with my Basis team.They were able to ping the mail server from PO DEV  system.I am using PO 7.4

Can someone suggest how to resolve this issue?
